Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan

Mission
CMCF’s mission is to ensure that the most advanced pediatric medical knowledge transcends borders and reaches a wide range of children suffering from sickness and disease.  CMCF endeavors to improve the care of children, wherever they may be.

CMCF funds training visits for physicians through its innovative fellowship program, coordinates participation of physicians at pediatric symposiums around the world and provides specialty medical texts and journals – all with the goal of assuring that geography is not a boundary for medical knowledge.

Vision

CMCF’s philosophy is to give “Packages of Medical Knowledge,” which positively impact the care provided to children.

CMCF will further dedicate efforts to building “Medical Bridges” between countries through the open exchange of knowledge, lasting relationships and alliances.  This will be accomplished by coordination of centers of excellence that encompass the most advanced provision of care and readily share this knowledge with pediatricians from less-advanced nations.

CMCF will build from core fellowships in neonatology, hematology/oncology and surgery to other pediatric specialties including biostatistical research support.

CMCF will expand training programs to include advanced education for the entire pediatric care team, such as obstetricians, nurses, respiratory therapists, etc.

Strategic Plan

CMCF’s vision will be achieved through the active leadership of executives and the Board of Directors.  The Board of Directors will constitute committees in key areas, thus effectively organizing small work groups that accomplish the goals and objectives heretofore set forth.

CMCF’s network of volunteers, health care professionals and government officials will provide additional support for successful achievement of priorities.

CMCF’s donors comprise the basis of financial support and viability for the future.

Together – as the donors, leadership, volunteers and associates – we will work to ensure that the lasting legacy of our founders, Dr. and Mrs. Wilk, continues so that all children have equal access to the best medical care available.
