CMCF has created partnerships with specialty-specific pediatric societies to create Fellowship Selection Committees to review and recommend candidates for CMCF training. These Committees also provide a vehicle for ongoing country relations to develop and implement joint training programs to support the overall country pediatric medical needs.

In 2013, the 7th Congress on International Pediatric Transplant Association, (IPTA), Warsaw, was organized under the leadership of Professor Piotr Kalicinski, Children’s Memorial Hospital, Warsaw, a former CMCF Fellow and now one of the leading experts on Pediatric Transplantation. The IPTA was hailed as the most important congress that highlighted recent advances in clinical and basic sciences related to pediatric transplantation ever to be held in Poland. CMCF supported 12 pediatric specialists from Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania to attend this conference. Supporting conferences is also an example of new and different ways CMCF supports dissemination of medical knowledge and best practices.
The CMCF Board and Fellowship Selection Committees rely on Anna Bodzak, CMCF Country Managing Director in Poland to assist with the administrative process for reviewing the Fellow applications and ensuring that all requirements have been met.
